Eliminating the carbon brushes, this BL™ brushless motor runs cooler and more efficiently for longer life. It has large spark guard that captures and deflects the debris away from the surrounding area. Saw features electric brake that allows repositioning faster for enhanced productivity. Tool-less flange removal system in this saw provides quick and easy wheel changes. It allows user to cut up to 5 Inch round and 4 x 7-5/8 Inch rectangular material. Soft starting of this router suppresses the start-up reaction for smooth start-ups and longer gear life. Tool powered by an 18 Volt Lithium-Ion slide style battery assures fastest charge time, more working time and minimal sitting time on the charger. Saw with Star Protection Computer Controls™, allows the Star Protection-equipped tool and battery to exchange data in real time.
